About the training: FERPA is the acronym for the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.  This act protects the privacy of a student’s educational records.  It applies to all educational agencies or institutions that receive funds under any program administered by the Secretary of Education.  Ms. Shaynak-Diaz, Esq, MSW is offering two identical sessions that will each cover an overview of HIPAA and FERPA and the interplay between the two.
